Emperador Distillers Welcomes Spanish Chamber: Strategic Partnership and 150th Anniversary Plans

June 4, 2024 | 10 AM, representatives from La Cámara visited Emperador Distillers, Inc. at Eastwood City, Libis, Quezon City. The meeting included Mr. Diego Berenguer (Assistant Brand Manager), Mr. Luke Polintan (Senior Brand Manager), Mr. Kendrick Tan (Executive Director), and Mr. Winston Co (CEO).
The meeting began with introducing the new director of La Cámara Chris Courtney, followed by an enlightening discussion of Fundador’s plans for innovations in producing high-quality brandy, and Sherry Casks. Fundador has been producing Sherry, thus including Sherry Casks, for almost 300 years. Bodegas Fundador started its glory as Sherry producers in 1730 and founded Sherry Brandy, or ‘Brandy de Jerez’ in 1874. Fast forward to 2015, Fundador was acquired by Andrew L. Tan’s Emperador Distillers, Inc. with plans on taking Fundador Brandy to even further heights. Sherry Casks have recently been a hot commodity in the liquor sector, used in the production and finishing of different types of liquor. Fundador plans on worldwide innovation for their Sherry and Sherry Brandy, making use of their years of heritage, tradition, and expertise.
Another highlight of the meeting was the discussion of Fundador Brandy’s 150th anniversary, and their plans for celebrating this important milestone. In Spain, Fundador celebrated this occasion during Feria de Caballo 2024 last May – an annual celebration in the Spanish municipality Jerez de la Frontera. As well as launching a 150th Anniversary Commemorative Museum in their Bodegas in Jerez de la Frontera, Cádiz, Spain. Fundador is excited to celebrate this Milestone in the Philippines, especially in collaborating with La Camara.
The discussion also covered the renewal of Fundador’s Platinum partnership with La Cámara.
