Manila, Philippines — July 24, 2025. In a heartfelt celebration of the enduring ties between Spain and the Philippines, PORCELANOSA, in collaboration with the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines (La Cámara), hosted a special evening to mark Spanish-Filipino Friendship Day.

Held at the PORCELANOSA showroom in Manila, the event brought together leaders, partners, and friends from both countries for an evening of connection, cultural appreciation, and community. More than a formal occasion, the celebration served as a warm and relaxed space for networking, shared stories, and the strengthening of institutional ties that have defined the deep relationship between Spain and the Philippines for centuries.

The evening was graced by the presence of esteemed guests including H.E. Miguel Utray, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain to the Philippines; Hon. Renato Y. Gustilo, Mayor of San Carlos City, Negros Occidental; Engr. Magnolia Antonio, Director of Engineering of San Carlos City; and Mr. Miggy Valmayor, Executive Director of San Carlos City. Representing La Cámara was Ms. Ascension Lillo-Martin, Executive Director, alongside members of the Board of Directors, PORCELANOSA representatives, and La Cámara Members.

Guests mingled and shared conversations over drinks and Spanish-Filipino fare, celebrating the friendship, shared heritage, and mutual respect that continue to link both countries. The ambiance reflected the spirit of the occasion—festive, inclusive, and forward-looking, highlighting how cultural diplomacy and genuine people-to-people connections remain at the heart of Spanish-Filipino relations.

As Spanish-Filipino Friendship Day is celebrated across the nation, this event stood out as a reminder that beyond treaties and trade, the true foundation of bilateral ties lies in shared values, historical kinship, and a deep appreciation for each other’s cultures.
